Science (our school creek)

On Monday we had our School Science fair day.

We had a visit from Charlie Witts.

Charlie talked to us about the history of our school creek, what animals and creatures might live in our school creek and how we can restore the creek.

We will make a plan with Charlie, Eco schools and the Far North Regional Council to restore this beautiful water way.

WE WILL NEED HELPERS!!!!!

Matariki Celebration Day

This morning we gathered at school at 6.30am to look for Matariki stars.

It was a beautiful sunrise. We saw lots of beautiful stars, but we didn't see the Matariki cluster.

Breakfast at school (Eva-Rose)

Breakfast at school (Atawhai)

Last night Miss Simmonds learnt how to make fried bread with her friend Missy. We will have the bread with soup for lunch today.

We made Matariki kites. We glued lots of beautiful things onto our painted kites (feathers, beads, shells and LOTS of glitter).

Grace was practicing being the teacher.

For lunch we had the fried bread and delicious pumpkin soup. I'm glad to report the bread was a real hit!
