Te Awa's assembly

Last Friday we hosted the school assembly. I was extremely proud of all of our amazing students, who were brave and spoke in front of the whole school and our visiting friends and family. We only have a few photos as our photographer was in training.
Brody, Nicky and Nova speaking at assembly. Isabella-Paige and Breeze from Te Ngahere class helped us.
Sophie and Olivia spoke about what we had learnt about the migration of Monarch butterflies from Mexico to the United States and Canada and then back again.

This is the link to what we said (our script).

This is a link to a youtube clip about Monarch butterfly migration.

Egg and spoon race

This week we have been learning about the letter Ee. We have learnt how to write e and we have learnt what sounds the letter makes. To celebrate our learning we had an egg and spoon race. We used chocolate eggs because we have a student who is allergic to eggs (and it was way more fun to eat our eggs at the end of the race!!!
