Word Work

This week we have been checking how many letters and words we can write. We had a word work test to see what we can write. We have graphs in the front and back of our books so we can see how much we have learnt.

Healthy Eating

This Morning Gina (from the energize programme) came to teach us how to make hummus.  We had hummus and carrot sticks (DELICIOUS).
Here is Gina's kid friendly recipe.

Ingredients:
1 can of chick peas
1 tablespoon of peanut butter
a squeeze of lemon juice
salt and pepper

Method:
Just wizz in a blender.

North Auckland Taniwha players visit

On Friday we were lucky enough to have three of the Northland Taniwha team visit us at Paihia School.
First we got to ask questions and then we played some games on the court. Their names were Mat Johnson, Jarrod Burns and Temo.

Learning about the letter Y

Today we tried four different flavours of yoghurt. We have been learning about the letter Yy.

We are also learning to use interesting words in our writing.

 

We ate four different flavours, sweet and sour.

School Cross Country (2019)

Here are our photos of another very successful Cross Country. I was very proud of my New Entrant pupils who all ran very well. Everyone had a fabulous day.

We went to Bledisloe Domain on the School Bus.
