In Te Awa classroom, as part of our learning with the local curriculum, we have been learning about the names of each of our classrooms. Our class "Te Awa" represents the river. It is part of people's Pepeha (as with "Te Maunga, Te Hapu, Te Iwi, Te Waka etc).
Here is the beginning work of our Te Awa class sign. Each student is taking part to paint our class sign.
