Today we were very fortunate to have a professional dance group perform for us (The New Zealand Dance Company). They performed "Matariki for Tamariki". It was an inspiring and professional performance, which was a great introduction to our learning about Matariki.

Digital learning
Today with Whaea Rebecca we were learning how to use our I.Pads to record images of different things (light to dark, tecture, colourful). We worked in groups. We learnt to use our I.Pad camera correctly and we also learnt some new vocabulary.

Christmas Parade
On Friday Te Awa dressed up as bird watches to be part of the Paihia School float. Te Moana were fishing. They had beautiful bright fish hanging off their fishing lines. We all had alot of fun on the truck. Pauline Fox gave us all a delicious Gingerbread man (thank you Pauline).

Fluro Friday
To help raise money for our St John Ambulance service we all dressed up for "Fluro Friday" and donated gold coins. We had lots of fun and a parade as well. Here is our writing about "Fluro Friday".
