Lock down Teddy's
In Te Awa we talked about what made us feel happy during the lock down. A lot of us felt happy when we saw teddies in people's windows. We decided to make people happy and put our drawings of teddies in our window.

We are learning about Weta's
Last Friday Laura brought a weta to school. We have been doing some learning around our New Zealand native weta.
We have learnt that weta can swim and that wild pigs eat them. The clips below are very interesting.
Pig's foraging for Weta's
Weta returns from the dead.
Indigo and Hayley looking at the weta.
Fletcher carried the weta when we were releasing it into the tree.

The weta when it was released onto the tree.
We found a great illustration of a weta in the book "One cold, wet, night"
Hayley reading the big book with the weta as part of the story.
We definitely don't think this story is true!
