Magic show

Today the Magician Vas Kovalski came to Paihia School to teach us about healthy eating. He also performed some AMAZING tricks. Here is our writing about the show.

Assembly Week

This week we (Te Awa class) will be hosting our weekly Friday Assembly. We also led the karakia and himene at this morning's Monday assembly. Kaura and Ilha did a great job of sitting on the taumata (speakers bench) this morning. Thank you Vanya for supporting.

Swim safe lessons

Swim Safe Lessons

Today Tracy from Swim Safe came to teach us how to float when we are wearing a life jacket. We pretended to fall off a boat and floated and swam with our life jackets on. We had great fun a learnt a lot.

Trip to Waitangi Treaty Grounds

This Term we are studying celebrations. As part of our learning we went to our local Treaty Grounds.

Trip to the Waitangi Treaty Grounds

Today Te Awa class and Te Moana class went to the Waitangi Treaty grounds to watch the celebration for Mr Hekenukumai Busby's knighthood. We saw the welcome for the Governor-general (Dame Patsy Reddy). After watching the ceremony we went down to look at our waka Ngatokimatawhaorua. Thank you very much to Penny, Clint and Sasha for helping with transport and supervision.
